Dardust, aka Dario Faini, is an Italian pianist and composer among the most awarded of the new generation worldwide. With five albums to his credit: 7, Birth, S.A.D Storm and Drugs, Duality, and the latest Urban Impressionism he has developed a highly distinctive and innovative style, capable of redefining the boundaries between classical and contemporary music, pushing his work far beyond conventional definitions. His music consistently creates unconventional atmospheres through a perfect balance between piano and electronics.

His music has been featured in globally renowned events, including the launch presentation of new products by tech giant Apple Inc., streamed from the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, as well as major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, the NBA All-Star Game, and the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, for which he composed the official soundtrack titled Fantasia Italiana, a piece that pays tribute to Italian musical tradition and the iconic locations hosting the Games.

He opened for Lana Del Rey at the I-Days Festival in Milan and for Dua Lipa at the NOS Alive Festival in Lisbon. He also served as Maestro Concertatore for the special 25th edition of La Notte della Taranta in Melpignano, Puglia, alongside major guests including Stromae.

CULTURAL MILESTONES

At the end of 2022, he released Duality, his latest international album for Sony Masterworks and Artist First, a double record that separates his two artistic personas—piano solo and electronic. This was followed in spring 2023 by the Duality Tour in Italian theaters and European clubs: a two-act show alternating between the intimate minimalism of solo piano and rave-like electronic atmospheres, presented across more than twenty dates during the summer leg. In September 2023, the release of his new single Outside marked the announcement of his return to theaters with Duality + Guests, starting in late November. This refined version of his tour featured five event-concerts with special guests, including Saturnino, Elodie, Franco126, Elisa, and Samuele Bersani.

DUALITY

Soundtracks and Cinematic Ventures

Throughout his multifaceted and eclectic career, he has also ventured into film, composing the soundtrack for the feature film Mani Nude by Mauro Mancini and for the event film Cover Story, created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vanity Fair.

Awards and UPCOMING tOUR

His intense live activity has continued since late 2026 with the Urban Impressionism Tour, in which Dardust presents his repertoire and the latest album of the same name in a show that challenges the conventions of contemporary neoclassical music, breaking down the boundaries between the arts by merging music and brutalist architecture.

The tour, which has surpassed 55 concerts across Italian cities and European capitals, has also included a series of 8 sold-out performances titled Piano Concerto N.1: the artist’s first original score performed live with orchestra within symphonic theatre seasons.

To celebrate his 10-year career, Dardust performed 10 years. 1 night at Teatro Dal Verme, accompanied for the first time by the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali.

Dardust will present the installation SommersiVo at the Venice Pavilion during the 61st International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale (May 9 – November 22, 2026). Bringing his own interpretation of  the city of Venice, he will debut an original composition and installation within the exhibition project Note persistenti, curated by Giovanna Zabotti.
